Western Australia

Western Australia

Australia’s largest state, Western Australia occupies the entire western region of Australia, and is divided into five regions: Australia’s North West, Australia’s Coral Coast, Australia’s Golden Outback, Experience Perth and Australia’s South West.  Each region offers a world of exploration and adventure to all who visit.

In Western Australia’s north-eastern corner lies Australia’s North West region. Home to both the Kimberley and Pilbara regions, Australia’s North West region is the perfect destination for all who love and appreciate true wilderness. Along the shore, visitors can take pleasure in boating, fishing, diving, or even just relaxing on soft sand beaches, and for those who are interested in four wheel driving, camping, and discovering aboriginal art, there is Karijini National Park and Millstream Chichester National Park.

Southeast of Australia’s North West region, with the Indian Ocean at its’ side, is Australia’s Coral Coast.  Stretching a total of 1059 kilometres, from Cervantes to Exmouth, this coastal region boasts gorgeous coastal islands with a vast array of marine life (even the chance to swim with the whale shark), beautiful scenery, and an abundance of wildlife. The region’s national parks are perfect for hiking, four wheel driving and escaping the crowds. A little less than three hours south of Cervantes is Western Australia’s capital city, Perth.

A trip to Perth, will place visitors in the Experience Perth region of Western Australia. Once in the friendly city of Perth, visitors can enjoy a visit to the beautiful Kings Park and Botanic Gardens, relax along the banks of Swan River, try the foods at some of Perth’s many fine restaurants, or explore the city’s shopping district. A visit to the Perth Zoo will give visitors the chance to see some of Australia’s wildlife, without having to adventure into the wilderness.  However, for visitors who are interested in experiencing Western Australia’s true outback and seeing Australia’s wildlife in their natural habitat, there is always Australia’s Golden Outback region.

Australia’s Golden Outback offers visitors the chance to experience Australia’s laidback lifestyle at its’ very best. Whether looking to explore the smaller mining towns, enjoy a tour of the outback with an Aboriginal guide, or lend a helping hand at a farmstay, Australia’s Golden Outback offers both relaxation and exploration.
Visitors looking to enjoy Western Australia’s fine foods and award winning wine will enjoy Western Australia’s South West region. With a warm Mediterranean climate, rolling green hills, breathtaking views, and the chance to go fruit picking, this region of Western Australia attracts visitors from all around.

Divided into five very different regions, Western Australia is diverse, welcoming and has a lot to offer to its’ visitors.
